Dàmaris Gelabert

Founded in 1998 by Dàmaris Gelabert and Alex Martínez, Tot Sona Records is a leading record label in the children’s music industry, known for representing the artist Dàmaris Gelabert.

Over the past 24 years, and after graduating from Berklee College of Music, Dàmaris and Alex have developed professionally within the music industry, composing and producing music. They have particularly focused their careers on creating high-quality music for children, with a strong emphasis on pedagogy and child development.

The wealth of experience gained throughout the years in the music industry has led us to launch Tot Sona’s new project: Grow Up Singing, through which we aim to share our message with children all around the world.

Adri & Leia

Leia and Adri are siblings and the songwriters behind The Grow Up Singing Band. They love working together and have enjoyed making music since childhood. They’ve decided to dedicate part of their time to this project, which is focused on young children. In addition to this, they each have their own personal projects and are involved in other professional work. They use Logic Pro and Pro Tools to produce their songs.

Alex MArtinez

I am a pedagogue, music therapist, author, and singer of children’s songs. I graduated in Philosophy and Education Sciences from the University of Barcelona and specialize in Music Therapy, having graduated with honors from the Berklee College of Music in Boston.

I have released over 200 songs and 16 albums. These songs are used as educational tools in both school and family settings, thanks to their valuable content in habit formation, basic education, and the promotion of educational values. My YouTube channel has garnered over 800 million views and has more than 2 million subscribers.

I am the creator of the Totsona method of Musical Stimulation for children aged 0-6 and in special education. This method is based on the understanding of music as a child’s first language and one of the most effective educational strategies.

My schedule is filled with concerts, auditions, and workshops for families. I am also a professor at several universities, and I regularly give talks, courses, and seminars.

I studied music at the Liceu in Barcelona and at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where I graduated in Composition and Film Scoring. My primary instrument is the piano, and my secondary instrument is the “Mac” (what a lifesaver!).

I have worked as a composer for film and television, as well as an arranger and orchestrator. I have also taught and performed as a live musician in various groups. I am the music producer and arranger for several records and shows, both in commercial music and musical theater.

However, my true passion is jazz. I love music! And I’d like to take this opportunity to share a few thoughts on my work and vocation. Music is often misunderstood these days. Too often, it is seen purely as a form of entertainment or spectacle, when it doesn’t always have to be that way. Music can be appreciated on many different levels, and everyone can experience it in their own unique way. Music to listen to, music to learn…

With the Grow Up Singing project, we aim to contribute our small part by creating a repertoire that, while pedagogically effective, also stands up from a purely musical perspective. I hope we are achieving that.
